The University of Michigan received an $85,000 gift from the IBM Matching Grants Program, which it chose to accept in the form of IBM equipment.
Faculty and staff applied for a grant of IBM hardware to support innovative and unique teaching and learning activities or research initiatives. Proposals ranged from new activities and projects to continuation of existing teaching, learning or research projects.

Applications were prioritized by the Unit IT Steering Committee. Selected proposals will be funded until the IBM contribution is expended.
